71. CESSATIONIST CONUNDRUM / A DREAM / MORE ON THE LIE

     I thought I'd end the last blog on the nice Godly number of 70, but maybe not.  Jesus and God like 3's, 7s, and 10s.  I noticed after writing them that the 2 most critical postings seemed to be #63 and #66, both divisible by 3.  The number 70 isn't divisible by 3 but starts with a 7, so I thought that might be it, but here I am, up at 12:30 a.m. feeling led to write at least one more posting on this blog, ...maybe there'll be 1 more.  I think I know what it will be.  I'll title it now and leave it dark.
     To recap a couple points, John 16: 13 - 15 "But when he, the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you in all truth.  He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears and he will tell you what is yet to come.  He will glorify me because it is from me that he will receive what he will make known to you.  All that belongs to the Father is mine.  That is why I said the Spirit will receive from me what he will make known to you."  Tongues is the most common manifestation of a baptism of the Spirit but is only one of the 9 gifts of 1 COR 12.  Where there are tongues, there are usually other gifts and people who hear from Jesus in a variety of ways.  We should run to tongues not away from them because they are a manifestation of Jesus's spirit.
     Something spiritual happens with a baptism of the Spirit, unexplainable by science.  We who've experienced it know that our Bible suddenly becomes easier to understand and more interesting to read.  Perhaps these entire organizations have something of a lesser delusion to that which God has placed on the Baptist organization, regarding 1 COR 2:14  "The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit but considers them foolishness, and cannot understand them because they are discerned only through the Spirit."
     The leadership and members of the cessationist churches may have some of the Spirit and be well intentioned people, trying to serve God and heaven bound, just not as much of a dose of the Spirit required to make the shift to better Bible understanding.  They'll never get a baptism in the Spirit because they don't believe in it, don't really understand what it is.  They may never be able to get past the simplest levels of on the surface understanding of the Bible.  This bodes ominously for all the leadership, considering JAMES 3:1 "Not many of you should become teachers, my fellow believers, because you know that we who teach will be judged more strictly."
     I raised my family in a Baptist church and recall few disagreements with the preaching other than the doctrine, "once saved, always saved," but I wasn't baptized in the Spirit myself at the time.  I was dissatisfied with my pastor telling me not to look so hard for errors in the Bible when he couldn't answer my questions about so many apparent discrepancies.  I haven't researched these and still can't answer these questions, but am happy to accept there are answers since Jesus told me to.
     Jesus gave me the paragraph in BELIEVE ALL OR BELIEVE NONE.  That's good enough for me.  I have been told there is an answer to all the apparent discrepancies, it didn't seem relevant to my quest so I haven't pursued learning that topic yet.
     I believe I've been getting messages from God in dreams, but we know such things could be from satan or our imaginations.  I've put pen and paper on my nightstand to try to catch things.  Last night I got the tail end of something.  "My star will be a star of David, a messianic Jewish woman.  She'll come from another country."  Time will tell.  Thank you Jesus for the hint.  Now I'll be looking for a woman with brownish or olive skin.  I'll have to get to know her a bit to learn this about her but will have a way to identify her.  Maybe you aren't going to make me do this alone again.
     That certainly wouldn't have come from satan.  I don't think it was my imagination as I'd been seeing a certain acquaintance in town as my most likely prospect.  Knowing how closely my every thought is being scrutinized, I'm managing a "clean up" pretty well on my own, but it's difficult.  I don't care to elaborate on that.  All of our thoughts are being scrutinized just as mine are but very few of us get the feedback I do.  "Take every thought captive for Christ."  I get it now.
     I'm sure I speak for God when I say He'd like us to give up all our pagan traditions such as Christmas with the tree and decorations, (symbolic of creating our own idol to Nimrod, decorated with balls representing his testicles), wrong date of Jesus's birth, (Nimrod's birthday was December 25th), Easter, (another name for Semiramis, the Queen of Heaven) with all its pagan trappings such as sunrise service, hunting eggs and eating ham and worship on Sunday vs. the correct day, Saturday.  Halloween should be obvious to all.  (See posting #39.      Pondering things in jail, it dawned on me how obfuscated is the lie of 2 THESSALONIANS 2: 9 - 12, the Baptist doctrine:  "We believe the saints shall persevere in grace and not finally fall away." Who do you think wrote that?
