41. ANYONE WHO WANTS ONE CAN HAVE A DEMON
The title is a quote from the miracle woman of God, Dr. Bree Keyton. I think I've mentioned this earlier but to make the point am making it a stand alone posting. I've either read or heard a first person account of someone with the gift of discernment from 1 COR 12 watching as a demon hopped into a man's body through his mouth as the man lusted for a beautiful woman. The statement is a bit silly, nobody "wants" a demon except perhaps a satan worshipper but a sin this simple allows them entry. Just forget the idea that one can't have a demon and the Holy Spirit at the same time, unless the person is Jesus like pure, he or she will have plenty of demons.
As we repeat sin, the number we'll obtain will grow unless we pray for forgiveness and repent of the sin or eliminate the emotions that let them in. Repeating the evil is an invitation for them to return. As the collection of a demon for a specific sin type grows, our behavior may worsen. For instance we may grow from lust, develop an interest in pornography, it may become an addiction. Then we may be open to adultery if given the opportunity. We can pray them out but without repentance which means being sorry for and changing the behavior, they come right back, perhaps worse than before.
This is illustrated by Jesus in LUKE 11:24 - 26 "When an impure spirit comes out of a person, it goes through arid places seeking rest and does not find it. Then it says, 'I will return to the house I left.' When it arrives it will find the house swept clean and put in order. Then it goes and takes seven other spirits more evil than itself, and they go in and live there. And the final condition of that person is worse than the first." I'll do a posting on praying out demons and follow up soon.
They are of various sizes, shapes and are assigned various specialized functions under their commanders, the fallen angels. The Nephilim they came from ranged from human size to 36' tall and had varying personalities which will be reflected in their souls which became demons.
I'm learning as I go and still pondering the spirit of Python Dr,. Keyton describes having seen, a 12' tall snake like creature with one eye. That wouldn't describe a fallen angel, must be a demon. Early on I wondered about a third class of evil but now I don't think one exists. I'm attempting to get to something of a doctoral level of Bible understanding in a short time, am learning fast.
In our society, especially in the summer, with lots of gorgeous, barely dressed women walking around, not lusting becomes very difficult for us men. As I said earlier, I think God gave us men a bit too much sex drive. Look at the source of demons, angels given human form for the purpose of teaching humanity, (the watchers, sons of God from Genesis), not being able to control themselves and taking the daughters of men as wives. When their offspring, the Nephilim died, their immortal souls didn't fit anywhere so were left roaming the earth and are still with us as demons
As I've stated many times earlier, it's not only sin but also emotions incompatible with the christian walk that also allow them entry. I believe I was correct back in one of the BIZARRE EXPERIENCE postings when I wrote, "We shouldn't traumatize our kids, it let's in demons." How's God going to sort it all out? Innocent children who suffer abuse and then grow up in fear and anguish, feeling strong emotions of hate towards their abusers will allow entry of many, many demons who will develop strongholds. Then as adults, these children may exhibit anti social behavior they aren't in control of. I did.
Some crimes are extremely difficult to forgive and in many cases, these wounded misfit children may cry out to God from places of deep anguish and find Him in a big way, receiving a baptism of the Spirit, yet still have the strongholds and anti social behavior. See my last companion the Sad Lady and myself for instance.
It takes us a huge effort to forgive so as to be forgiven but we must try. I hope that if we go through life and never heal from our horrible wounds, our loving and just God is going to consider the mitigating circumstances on judgment day and give us a break.
In his service, a Misfit Child of God
