65. BIBLICAL SUPPORT FOR HOLY SPIRIT AND A DEMON

If you've read through, I should have you convinced that you can have the Holy Spirit and a demon.  I've given detailed examples in myself and very gifted companion in sin, Chris, the Sad Lady, see posting if you'd like #9., I believe.  I haven't come across a pastor yet who thinks we can have the Holy Spirit and a demon, nor a christian.  One of my friends who read my first posting on the topic, CAN'T HAVE THE HOLY SPIRIT AND A DEMON? became convinced.  There's much the Bible doesn't spell out, we have to reason through, see implications and make assumptions.
Wow, I told you how Jesus keeps putting messages in front of me and he just gave me one.  I mentioned getting a bit heated with my sister about tongues which I wrote a few minutes ago and I just came across the verse, 2 TIMOTHY 24, ""And the Lord's servant must not be quarrelsome but must be kind to everyone, able to teach, not resentful.  Opponents must be gently instructed, in the hope that God will grant them repentance leading them to a knowledge of the truth, and that they will come to their senses and escape from the trap of the devil, who has taken them captive to do his will."
In keeping with being rigorously honest which Jesus told me to do, I think it might be helpful for others to see my thought process.  I've had this issue come up a couple times recently and need to work on my attitude.  I suspect a big change will occur in the local church but I've made enemies in the process, could have done it gently, maybe made some friends with a different approach.  Now I have a place to avoid.  I think my current location is a training ground and where I move from here, I don't have a clue, I hope somewhere cooler in the summer if I keep working construction.
I've had a bit of a proud, arrogant attitude when discussing points with others.  My thinking is "God called me to be the expert and I know what I'm talking about, can back it up with scripture, shut up and listen to me!"  That approach doesn't get good results and for a good illustration, I'll get a bit crude.  A leader in A.A. once said he would often tell people, "God bless you."  He said it got better results than "F*** you!"  I think he had a point I need to learn from and Jesus just made it clear, I need to work on my attitude.  I apologize to all I've offended but some huge stuff is coming down soon.
Ok, back to my point about the Bible not being clear, another delicate subject of much controversy we have to read between the lines about, and I'll try to use nice words and hopefully you can figure it out.  2 TIMOTHY 2:20 - 21  In a large house there are articles not only of gold and silver, but also of wood and clay; some are for special purposes and some for common use.  Those who cleanse themselves from the latter will be instruments for special purposes, made holy, useful to the Master and prepared to do any good work."  The large house here of course is our body and I believe we're told not to have sex sin alone, but we have to imply a bit to get that.
We see the same message in 1 Thessalonians 4: 3-5  "It is God's will that you should be sanctified; that you should avoid sexual immorality; that each of you should learn to control your own body in a way that is holy and honorable, not in passionate lust, like the pagans, who do not know God...The Lord will punish all those who commit such sins,...For God did not call us to be impure, but to live a holy life.  Therefore, anyone who rejects this instruction does not reject a human being but God, the very God who gives you his Holy spirit."  That's pretty clear.  It's difficult though in our society where the rule is, "If you're two consenting adults, and nobody's getting hurt, it feels good, do it."  The problem though is that people do get hurt, and with soul ties and demon transfer, in ways most don't know about.
About biblical proof of demons with the Holy Spirit, similarly, we have to make some assumptions.  How do we know for instance that sin let's in demons?  I looked up a couple verses and don't see Jesus driving out demons with his telling people to go and sin no more.  I don't want to dig on this because it's commonly thought that sin let's in demons.  Yes but also unchristian emotions such as fear, anger, trauma, hatred, etc. and I cheated by studying Dr. Keyton's work extensively on spiritual warfare.  I didn't learn that from the Bible.  She provides scripture backing up all spirit names and positions.  Childhood sexual abuse and satanic ritual abuse of children let's in huge strongholds many will never recover from.  I'd developed such large strongholds they were controlling my behavior and the intellectual part of me questioned another misguided pastor who at the time said, "No you can't have the Holy Spirit and a demon."  The Bible isn't clear on it.
I'm going to use a couple verses and ask you to use some reasoning.  LUKE 11:24  When an impure spirit, (demon) comes out of a person, it goes through arid places seeking rest and does not find it.  Then it says, "I will return to the house I left.  When it arrives, it finds the house swept clean and put in order.  Then it goes and finds seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and they go in and lie there.  And the final condition of that person is worse than the first."
This is telling us to put in good things like the word of God, quote scripture, daily etc. but I've been over that.  My point is, the demon left for some reason.  They don't go on their own, they have to be asked to leave in Jesus's name.  The person has to accept the prayer and change the behavior to keep from inviting them back in.  Can we assume here that we're talking about a christian?  You don't have to be baptized in the Spirit to have the Holy Spirit, that's just an intense experience that will tend to bring regular supernatural into a person's life, you don't have to be baptized in water to have the Holy Spirit or to get it either, but it is a command or statement to the world that you're accepting Jesus.  I may have some error with that, didn't research it, but believe that's correct.
My other verse, and I may come back with more, I'd like to be making a stronger argument here, is James 5:16 which is loaded with meaning.  "Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed.  the prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective."
The point I want to make here is that all sorts of maladies, behavioral problems, sin, and physical illnesses are caused by demons.  If we're praying for each other it would  mean we're christians and we're praying out demons.
If we accept that sin lets them in, go back to my posting #13. CAN'T HAVE THE HOLY SPIRIT AND A DEMON where I make a convincing argument that we christians sin like everyone else, demons live in the flesh, not the spirit and both can indwell a person.

I'm not satisfied with this, may be back if I come across more evidence.

In his service, a Misfit Child of God.
