35. AMERICA'S PROBLEM, SPIRITS OF SLUMBER, GREED AND MAMMON

     Some weeks ago I spoke with a missionary from a christian dating site, Christian Mingles, who told me America's problem was spirits, (dark angels in command of many demons by the same name), of Slumber, Mammon and Greed.  This woman told me she worked in third world countries and had nearly lost her life on multiple occasions going against satan's power.  I asked her why America seems buffered from good and bad as compared to third world countries.
     My suspicion had been that we have the same forces of good and evil in this country but are somehow insulated from their effects.  For instance, Dr. Keyton has raised a number of dead pygmies in Jesus's name, but it isn't heard of in western cultures.  We don't have zombies here or as a former construction partner described to me from an eye witness account, (he'd been the son of missionaries), we don't have little girls throwing around grown men.
     The missionary I spoke with used the same "language" as Dr. Keyton and is a higher level servant of God.  All of us christians who've experienced what the Bible calls a baptism of the spirit have encountered the supernatural power of God.  When this baptism occurs, the most common gift given by the spirit, (per 1 COR 12) seems to be the gift of tongues.  I received word of knowledge and prophecy though they've been latent due to my misbehavior as described in previous postings.
     I've been living right for some time, at this writing am trying to serve God, and He has started communicating with me again, no direct information but word of knowledge has come to me from a couple different sources and I've recently had a couple dreams that seemed to be from Him.  I suspect He'll be turning the gifts back on soon, as Roman's 11:29 tells us, "for God's gifts and his call are irrevocable."   It's been foretold that I'm to receive a strong gift of healing, which I'm anxiously anticipating.
     As you know if you've read along, I'm asking for a wife by supernatural means from God.  My real estate agent who relayed the message from Jesus to me, tell him "Be careful what he asks for, he's asking for a harlot," says she thinks the woman is coming soon.
     In word of knowledge I've received from Jesus and messages given me by others, there's never more than a sentence with a few phrases such as "You're through being this woman's scapegoat, your life is about to get much better," "Keep seeking Him, a big issue will be resolved and you'll find your purpose."   I've never seen a paragraph or anything like a book from the prophets of old and am suspecting God needs someone to "break through" for lengthier messages.  That seems to be my calling but there is so much hidden meaning in the Bible, then we toss in different translations and I'm trying to work to set up my retirement, this could take years and I don't think we have years.
     Jesus will come to us wherever we are, regardless of how dirty, but he intercedes between us and God as God can't stand our filthiness.  I'm wondering if God wants someone to clean up to the point they can go to Him for instructions during the tribulation.
    Supernatural activity from God doesn't happen in most American churches, where statistically speaking, the pastors probably aren't even baptized in the spirit and according to the Bible aren't qualified to be teaching the Bible.  1 COR 2: 10-14 "...The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, (one of the seven special angels of God is named SPIRIT OF THE LORD, a possible reference to said angel here or perhaps the Holy Spirit who doesn't speak on his own but repeats what he hears from Jesus, see John 16:13, but the Holy Spirit is Jesus's spirit), but considers them foolishness, and cannot understand them because they are only discerned through the Spirit."  I've become real sensitive to precise verbage and wonder why the phrase "Spirit of God" was used instead of "Holy Spirit".  One of the seven special angels of God is named SPIRIT OF THE LORD, a possible reference to said angel here or perhaps the Holy Spirit who doesn't speak on his own but repeats what he hears from Jesus, see John 16:13, but the Holy Spirit is Jesus's spirit.  I've learned the Bible has much hidden meaning.  As my mountain friend, (see 2 previous emails) and I both observed, after our baptisms in the Spirit, we both understood the Bible much better so the reference to the Spirit of God here is probably to the Holy Spirit.
     2 TIM 3: 1-5 describes both men and churches of the last days, "But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days.  People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God - HAVING A FORM OF GODLINESS BUT DENYING ITS REAL POWER.  Have nothing to do with such people."  Have you seen any miracles in your church lately?
     Having just made a big move across country, I've recently learned that a requirement for Pentecostal pastors is a baptism in the spirit as evidenced by the gift of tongues.  I don't like this policy as not everyone gets tongues, I didn't, but it's on call proof of the baptism.
     I've previously listed the dark princes or fallen angels of satan that torment us.  As I'm gaining understanding, it seems these angels all have their own armies of demons by their names.  We may not be infested with the angels themselves as I think they live in the dimension referred to as "heavenlies," but by demons under their control and in some cases, the demons may set us up, give us a bad habit we'll run with on our own, move on to another assignment and only return if we try to break the habit by prayer.  Also, if kicked out by Jesus's name, they may continue to torment us from outside our bodies, making us feel like we still have them and we must follow the advice of James 4:7 for days or weeks to make a change, "Submit yourselves then to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you."
     I want to mention here another important point for healing that was just brought to my attention, James 5:16 "Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed.  The prayer of a righteous person is highly effective."  In my recent counseling session with Jesus, see posting #28,  COUNSELING WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT / CODEPENDENCY, Jesus told me to use "rigorous honesty."  I see the same phrase in Alcoholics Anonymous and Celebrate Recovery.  I'm a bit embarrassed to share this blog because I've been very honest about my sin but was told to do so by the ultimate authority.
     When I struggled with alcoholism and kept it just between God and me, nothing happened.  It was only by going in to AA and sharing my sins that healing came.  We must dig deep and confess all in order to clean out the evil.  If we leave some, it's an invitation for more to come back in.
     Following are descriptions of Slumber, Mammon and Greed from Dr. Bree Keyton's work STRIPES, NAILS THORNS AND THE BLOOD.  I'll quote much and give credit with quotation marks.
THE SPIRIT OF SLUMBER
     "The flesh and blood person, Delilah, seduced and deceived Samson, lulled him to sleep on her lap and shaved his head, sapping his God - given strength as a result of his disobedience and sin.  Then he was attacked by the enemy.  When a man's conscience is lulled into sleep, the spirit of slumber enters in.  Conversely, if a christian stays awake in the spirit, watches and listens to the warning of the watchman on the wall, the sin of slumber cannot enter in.  If we sleep through the attack, other evil spirits are invited to join in the defilement.  A spirit of slumber causes sleepiness when one desires to study the Bible and to worship.  The spirit of slumber currently has a stronghold in the body of Christ that has lulled the sleeping church into a yawning abyss of fellowship with the world, causing her to close a blind eye to God's teachings, allowing legalized abortion and ungodly, wicked men to hold prominent public office, persecuting the true prophets who are sounding the alarm, and ultimately bringing God's judgment upon themselves; the Laodicean church they have become.  It used to be a requirement for holding government office that a candidate be of good reputation and be a standing member of a church.  Romans 11:8 "God has given them the SPIRIT OF SLUMBER, eyes that they should not see and ears that they should not hear..."
     A spirit of slumber works with a spirit of Delilah, Jezebel and whoredoms."
THE SPIRIT OF WHOREDOMS
     When an individual or nation allows the spirit of slumber to enter in and control them, an insidious spirit called whoredoms tries to worm its way in, also.  The spirit of Whoredoms is an exceptionally powerful spirit.  It draws the individual away from the true and living God, and replaces the holy purposes of our heavenly Father with plans and activities that are off course.  Sometimes these plans look good, but they are error...The spirit of Whoredom's purpose is to pervert the true mission of the church and silence the prophetic voice,..or pollute or pervert it.  In addition, Whoredoms uses up the financial provisions by tempting and dragging the church away from the true call,..Whoredoms is a generational spirit that is passed down through families,...introduces perversion, idolatry, spiritual and physical adultery and fornication, defilement, filthy thoughts, homosexuality, all sexual perversion, lusts, pornography, a lust for the things of the world, rather than the things of God.  It will lead christians to pursue satanism, witchcraft, new age religions.  It will bring preoccupation with appearance and drive a person to social and political climbing, spiritual and physical adultery, love of worldly things.  It causes leaders to spend their time and money building their own kingdoms, instead of the kingdom of God.  Each spirit that comes in riding on the coattails of another spirit is progressively more evil than the previous one."
THE SPIRIT OF MAMMON
     "The spirit of Mammon affects both rich and poor.  Many serve this wicked spirit, consciously or unconsciously.  It causes one to fear the loss of wealth, or greedily pursue wealth, never finding peace or satisfaction.  The Bible says YHWH Jireh is my provider and He will never leave me or forsake me.  It further states that blessings will overtake me if I keep the LORD'S commandments.
     The love of money is the root of all evil. 1 TIM 6:10.  Greed is rooted in the lust of the flesh.  If we are centered in the Father's will for our lives, provision will be available from HIm.  Confusion manifests in not understanding who your provider is.  Are you your own provider?  Is your job your provider?  Is your mate your provider?  If you believe this, then YHWH is not your provider and you will always be running after money, but you will never have enough."
     Mammon is a wicked spirit that deceives us into taking our eyes off our true provider.  MATT 6:24 "No one can serve two masters.  Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to one and despise the other.  You cannot serve both God and money."
THE DEMON OF GREED
     "The demon of greed (this indicates he's not a dark prince but a powerful demon), looks like a human, wears a business suit (according to Howard Pittman), and traffics in human souls.  I see greed personified like the pirates of Wall Street.  It sets snares to entrap unsuspecting victims.  The eyes are cat-like, glittering with delight as greed makes conquest after conquest.  Its followers worship at its feet in this age, without pity or remorse, as greed foments insatiable avarice by promising wealth and power.  This demon is one of the princes of this age.  If we allow mammon and greed to grip our hearts, we are walking in spiritual adultery.  Without clean hearts we will fall wounded or killed in the battle for our souls."

     Friends, do you see yourselves anywhere here?  I see in myself the spirit of Mammon which I am just now overcoming.  Since my late 20's when I became self employed full time,  I've worried about not having enough and have been unnecessarily frugal and miserly.  At the age of 50, I'd accumulated 1.2 million mostly through hard physical work building houses.  I relaxed a bit then, but much of it went away in my divorce from a non working woman.  In my recent trial, still with more than many people will ever have, I panicked and feared I'd lose what I had left.
     I'm letting go of the worry and trusting God now and it seems He's now dropping financial blessings in my lap.  Strange how that works isn't it?
