17. THE BATTLE IS ALREADY LOST IF...
The battle is already lost if we believe satan's lie that with the Holy Spirit we can't have a demon. In the posting CAN'T HAVE THE HOLY SPIRIT AND A DEMON? I said I'd never given it that much thought but having heard it several times felt led to write about it. It just dawned on me that this is extremely important. This seems to be a common belief in the mainstream christian world, I recently heard the idea from a prominent minister on the radio, have heard it from a pastor I sought counseling with for my personal issues and recently from a friend. Where did this idea come from? Where in the Bible does it say that? If we believe that, we'll stay in chains of bondage to satan's princes and demons because we're denying they are there. They'll continue to wreak havoc in the lives of christians, same as everyone else because we won't get the simple healing from loosening them and sending them on their way in Jesus's name. I wondered about my own out of control behavior and was told it couldn't be a demon(s), then when I learned better I went for simple healing from these things.
I'm reminded of the last 2 women in my life I've named Jezebel and the Sad Lady. They both have serious mental issues but will never get healing because of denial.
Demons like flesh because that's where they came from. Souls of the Nephilim, half angel, half man didn't fit in heaven or hell because they were illegal creatures and not part of God's plan. They're left wandering the earth. Jesus's description that demons "wander through arid places seeking rest but can't find it" is a quote from the book of Enoch, 15:8 , a pre Bible work Jesus knew of but that satan hid until it was uncovered, I believe in the dead sea scrolls but may be mistaken about where they were found. They have different personalities matching those of the creatures they came from. It's commonly thought that evil allows them entry but I believe emotions incompatible with the ideal christian walk such as fear, trauma and anguish will also allow them entry.
There are many conflicting opinions on this topic and we can't know the details for certain unless God tells us or we see it. From some small personal experiences with the greater gifts, I know He sometimes does this. I once read a description of one being seen hopping into someone's mouth while that person was guilty of lust, this from a person with the gift of discerning the spirits. From the work of Dr. Keyton and my own personal experiences before and after a baptism of the spirit, as well as observation of others, I believe they are responsible for out of control behavior many of us may have experienced, whether we're christian or not. There's a wide variety of them, they have different functions and I don't think a single one will usually have much influence but a collection can start controlling behavior.
Can a fallen angel occupy us? From my panic attacks which led to fumbling of my business and retirement, described in BIZARRE EXPERIENCE CONCLUSION, I believe so. Something very powerful overwhelmed me and it was just a few days ago I learned that fear is a chief prince. How many can occupy us? From the description of the demoniac Jesus healed who's collection of demons called itself Legion, it would appear there's room for thousands.
As previously described, Dr. Bree Keyton is the most powerfully connected person of God I've come across, "moving among" all 9 of the greater gifts and she says we are 3 part beings, soul, spirit and flesh. She says a christian can have demons and I believe her. Where exactly do the soul and spirit reside? Are they in the flesh of brain neurons or perhaps energy fields created by fluid and electric flow? People with the gift of tongues tell me the language flows up from the diaphragm after they turn their minds off. Perhaps the Holy Spirit lives in the spirit realm and evil spirits will leave Him alone but come into the soulish realm and demons into the flesh.
It's a simple process for a true christian to pray these things out. As Jesus tells us in Mat 18:18, "what you bind on earth I will bind in heaven, what you loose on earth I will loose in heaven." We bind good things and loose evil things in the name of Jesus. Using this terminology according to Dr. Keyton makes our efforts more effective. The problem is that christians will keep walking around in chains if they believe satan's lie that a christian can't have a demon.
I'm going to segue into another topic briefly, I've discussd at length in an earlier posting but I think it's important enough to repeat. A couple of satan's favorite Bible verses are Eph 2:8 - 9, the abbreviated version, "We're saved by grace through faith, not by works." I never see that in context with verse 10, "For we are all God's handiwork created in Christ Jesus to be doing good works God has prepared in advance for us." Satan seems to have blinded teachers everywhere to verse 10 which I think leads to a lot of complacency and inaction on christians' part and possible jeopardy of their eternal souls. We should go to church for fellowhip, learning and being "fed" God's word but we should also read the Bible and think for ourselves.

Thanks for the clarification. Those who have been listening to preachers and teachers say that you can't have both Christ and demons in your life at the same time is simply not true. We believe in Christ and we ask ourselves, if I believe then why do I think and act the way I do? Why is it so hard to stay focused on truth? That is satans desire for our life. Darkness, confusion and turmoil is right where satan wants us. The demons have to be cast out of our life In Jesus' name. It's hard to stay strong. If we know that God is light and He wants us to focus on good things, pure and lovely things and satan is darkness and he wants us to focus on evil, lust and greedy things then we have to decide who we are to follow. If we have darkness in our lives but want light, we have to cast satan and his team of demons out!
ReplyDeleteThanks brother!
